Lynn T. Parente, MD, F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Lynn Parente joined Riverwalk OB/GYN, P.L.L.C. in December 2011 after resigning her United States Army commission after 8 years of active duty service attaining a rank of Major. Her last duty station was Womack Army Medical Center, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina before moving to San Antonio, Texas to pursue private practice. While stationed at Womack Army Medical Center, she earned the Family Medicine Teaching Award. Known as a compassionate physician at Womack she served as the sexual assault clinical provider. Dr. Parente attended MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine (now Drexel University of Medicine) Philadelphia, Pa from 1998 to 202 where she earned her Medical Degree. From 2002 to 2006, Dr. Parente completed she internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tripier Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hi where she was presented with the Best Resident in Obstetrics Award.

Dr. Parente is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Parente is currently a member of the Medical Staff at the Nix Healthcare System and the Baptist Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Texas Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Society in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Parente's illustrious military career in the service of her country started in 2002 at Tripier Army Medical Center as a resident OB/GYN physician. She was transferred to Womack Army Medical center in 2006 where she served until 2011. Dr. Parente's hobbies include playing the piano and viola. She is fluent in Portuguese and Brazilian languages. Dr. Parente is married to Dr. Vu Truong, an Obstetrician, and Gynecologist, who joined Riverwalk OB/GYN in May 2011. They are the proud parents of two children, Isa and Cameron. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and going out to eat.
